Street – Betting on a street (three numbers) pays out 11:1. Odds of winning are roughly 7.9%.

Corner – Betting on a corner (four numbers) pays out 8:1. Odds of winning are roughly 10.5%.

First Five – Betting on the first five (0, 00, 1, 2 & 3) pays out 6:1. Odds of winning are roughly 13.2%.

Sixline – Betting on a sixline (six numbers) pays out 5:1. Odds of winning are roughly 15.8%.

Dozens – Betting on the (1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12) pays out 2:1. Odds of winning are roughly 31.6%.

Columns – Betting on a column pays out 2:1. Odds of winning are roughly 31.6%.

Hi/Lo – Betting on (1-18 or 19-36) pays out 1:1. Odds of winning are roughly 47.4%.

Even/Odd – Betting on even numbers or odd numbers pays out 1:1. Odds of winning are roughly 47.4%.

Black/Red – Betting on black numbers or red numbers pays out 1:1. Odds of winning are roughly 47.4%.

There are some casinos that have different rules for their roulette game, but they often benefit the player so it isn’t a big thing. Generally a good roulette strategy for new roulette players that are just looking to try out the game is to play the outside bets. They all have decent payouts and although the chances of winning them are slim you’d be surprised how many times you can hit if you’re on a roll.
